Every year at the beginning of the school year, our Grade 12 students participate in a retreat.

The purpose of the Grade 12 retreat is to promote a sense of togetherness in the cohort through activities focusing on team building, goal setting and accessing peer support networks. Students also engage in conversations with key teachers in their Grade 12 journey.

This year the group bussed it up to Siem Reap and participated in a variety of activities focused around the power of the collective. Students participated in a circus skills workshop at the world-famous Phare Circus and then watched the professionals perform later that night. They participated in an amazing race around the centre of Siem Reap and tested their collaborative skills in a group cooking contest at a local cooking school.

And of course, we couldn’t visit Siem Reap without witnessing the wonder of the Angkor temple complex, with visits to Angkor Wat, Bayon and Ta Prohm.
